Wine Recipes?

We Answered:

Don't have any idea on blackberry or pumpkin wines.

If you are interested in wine making from grape, there is a good book you can read. Jeff Cox's "From Vines to Wines" is a good guide to grape growing and wine making. It will give you some idea of how to make wine from grape and maybe you can extrapolate the information to making wine from other sources.

Pedro Said:

Anyone have a good homemade wine recipes?

We Answered:

Yes, but I will not give it in this format. If you want, I will begin a dialog with you through email about making it. I make about 30 gallons a year. Mostly grapes, picked in the wilds of south Texas, but have made it from currents, cranberries, apples and raisins, and several other wilds like cactus berries or prickly pear, and agarita berries.

There is a very informative website that I will give you. They have a mo'ly e news letter and website for supplies.

Sincerely...ptandps

Tammy Said:

What are some wine recipes made with juice, or juice concentrate?

We Answered:

there are tons online, but this is the one i use for apple juice:

10-12 cans of frozen apple juice concentrate (no preservatives)
4 gallons of water
yeast

throw it together in a fermenter and let it stew for a few weeks
you end up with wine

you can then pour off the alcoholic beverage, and put in a secondary fermenter to let it improve in flavor and clarity, or bottle it

you can also prime the bottles with sugar and make a good apple cider.

as for distilling, its illegal in most of the world to distill privately without a license.
