Does anyone know how to make VEGEMITE, or have a recipe for it?We Answered:
I could send you some if you like, mmmmm Now you've made me feel like getting some hot toast.I thought it was prohibited over there?
If you want to create Vegemite, you’ll need to study to become a food technologist like Dr Cyril P Callister the man who created Vegemite. He spent many months in the laboratory perfecting the formula or recipe which has hardly changed at all in 80 years. You could say it’s where science meets taste. Nice one Cyril.

Do you know any good recipes for Vegemite? We Answered:
I like to spread butter then Vegemite on a croissant then add plenty of cheese on top and grill it till the cheese melts. YummmmIn the past when my parents ran out of beef stock cubes to add flavor to Spaghetti Bolognaise sauce they would add a spoonful of Vegemite and it actually adds a lot of flavor.

I would like to know if you can add vegemite to dough and make sour churros, these are spanish donuts? We Answered:
Vegemite is a fermented yeast spread that will not go well with your dish. Try the recipe below. This is Kosher (no animal products or dairy) and is gluten free.Churros Recipe
2 cups cold water
1 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp kosher salt
2 cups gluten free flour
oil for frying
cinnamon sugar for dipping
Place the water, oil and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the flour all at once, reduce the heat, and stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until a ball forms. Cool slightly. Using a pastry bag or cake decorator fitted with a 3/8" fluted tube (#105 is good), press the dough out into strips 4" long or shaped into loops. The fluted shape is essential otherwise the pastries will turn out hard and doughy. Heat the frying oil at least 1/2" deep in a skillet until it is very hot. Reduce the heat to medium and fry the churros, turning once, until they barely begin to colour. Do not fry more than 3 or 4 at a time so you can keep an eye to prevent overcooking. Drain, then shake in a ziploc bag of cinnamon sugar to coat. Serve warm.
Once cooled just pop them into a freezer bag. 30 seconds in the microwave and you have breakfast.

Vegemite Damper recipe queries?We Answered:
You don't need to use beer, but you should use something with carbonation. If you have a soda water, that would work just as well.If you don't have that either, water will suffice.
Hope this helps!

Vegemite is made from leftover brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of beer manufacturing, and various vegetable and spice additives.
