Thats a great idea. I did a salmon steak in my steamer ,without the foil and it stuck to the container and it was all broken up when I got it out.

Easy Bread Pudding

Ingredients:
1 loaf cinnamon-raisin bread, cubed
6 cups milk
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla pudding mix (the kind you cook not intstant)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Prep:
Place cubed bread in a 9x13 inch pan.
Pour 2 cups milk over bread;set aside.
Prepare pudding according to pkg.
directions,using remaining 4 cups milk.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour the pudding evenly over the bread mixture and sprinkle with a little cinnamon.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes until pudding is set,or until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.

Easy Cakey Bread Pudding

Ingredients:
3 cups cold milk or half-and-half
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 pkg. (10.75 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed, cut into 1-inch cubes and lightly toasted
dash of ground cinnamon

Prep:
POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Gently stir in cake cubes.
SPOON into 1-1/2-quart serving bowl; sprinkle with cinnamon.
REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour before serving. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

i would always cook it first, cool, portion wrap in cling film and just defrost as required.
less mess then trying to freeze and defrost raw goods.
i know you dont want reciept but try using bara brith(fruit loaf) as one of the layers
