Any where from 2 to 3 table spoon fulls for 1 lemon. I would use 2 just to be on the safe side. That should be enough to add taste to it, and if you are to use the juice of 4 lemons put in about 6 to 8 table spoon fulls. That should be enough. I hope it turns out good!!! =)

Ingredients

2 (15 ounce) cans garbanzo beans
1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
3 garlic cloves, pressed
1 teaspoon ground cumin
salt and pepper

Directions

1) Drain beans and reserve the liquid when you do so.
2) Blend it in a food processor with the other ingredients and 1/4 cup of the liquid.
3) Process until the mixture is smooth.
4) Add liquid until the desired consistency is reached.
5) Adjust seasonings along with more cumin, salt and pepper.

It doens't taste exactly the same, just because the lemon juice does add a certain bite to it, but its still very good. If you don't have enough of the garbanzo liquid, try adding a little bit of olive oil or water to get the right consistency...

Lemon juice just cuts some of the cloying sweetness from the pie......you can also use vinegar with the same results......If you're without lemon or vinegar, just skip it.....it will be fine......

ADDENDUM:

Yes, you'll need the 1/3 cup of lemon juice to react with the sweetened condensed milk, it will, in essence, curdle the milk so that the pie "sets up" and is solid once refrigerated.....

This is really easy and everyone always asks for the recipe!

Easy Lemon Pie

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle brand)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 1/2 cups (1 8-oz carton) Cool Whip, thawed
1 8-or 9-inch graham cracker crust

Combine sweetened condensed milk, lemon zest and lemon juice in a large bowl. Stir well. Fold in Cool Whip, blending well.
Spoon into graham cracker crust. Chill 2 hours before serving.
