what is a good easy jicama recipe? We Answered:
I totally understand about the not wanting to go shopping! I was in the same situation last week--my arms were soooo red and sore from sun burn that I could barely sleep. I need to remember to start wearing sunscreen!Anyways, on to your question.
Jicama and lime is classic pairing, but you can make it a little more special by adding some strawberries. It has a nice crunch that is a good contrast the soft berry. I also like it with sliced oranges for something different (fennel is also great with oranges by the way!).
It is also a nice addition to stir fries and soups. I have used it has an alternative to water chesnuts when I make veggie-tofu stir fry. It's crunchy when cooked, just not as sweet.
