Zachary Said:Anyone have a good "Really Hot" (Habanero) Sauce recipe?
We Answered:If you want to make it uneatable then here you go. In a food processor place unseeded Habanero's, a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, a cup of diced Roma tomato's, salt and pepper. Pulse it while adding some olive oil until it's the consistency your looking for.
Good luck eating it. Make sure someone is there to dial 911 when you breathing tube closes.

**Grilled Jerk Rubbed Chicken with Habanero-Mint Glaze**
3 tablespoons ground coriander
3 tablespoons ground ginger
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons habanero powder
1 tablespoon dry thyme
2 teaspoons coarse black pepper
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground allspice
2 teaspoons ground cloves
1 1/2 cups red wine vinegar
1 1/2 cups white wine vinegar
3 cups sugar
1 habanero chile, chopped
1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh mint leaves
2 pounds chicken thighs, legs and breasts, skin on and bone in
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
Place vinegar and sugar in a medium nonreactive saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until the sugar is completely melted and the mixture is reduced by 1/2 and is thick. Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender and add the habanero and mint and blend until smooth. Season with salt. Let the glaze cool to room temperature.
Preheat grill to medium or heat grill pan over medium heat. Rub 1 side of each chicken with 2 tablespoons of the jerk rub and drizzle with canola oil. Grill, rub-side down for 3 to 4 minutes or until a crust has formed, brush with some of the Haberno-Mint Glaze and turn the chicken over and continue grilling for 7 to 8 minutes or until just cooked through. Brush with more of the glaze and serve immediately.
Hazel Said:What can I do with my habanero chilly? Anyone have any recipes?
We Answered:of course. Jamaican Jerk Chicken. if you have chicken, and a lot of other ingredients. if all you have is a habanero chili, you could dry it, I guess, and use it when you get some other ingredients. or you could just be hardcore and eat it by itself. I've tried it before, 10 minutes of drinking straight from the tap. it's painful, man.
Cassandra Said:What are some good recipes using "habanero peppers" in cakes?
We Answered:Fire and Ice Cake
3 roasted habanero peppers
2 tablespoons sugar
Vanilla ice cream, softened
Baked chocolate cake, sliced horizontally in 3 layers
Powdered sugar, whipped cream or sprinkles, for garnish
The habanero peppers can be roasted on a gas stove top
or in an oven. Before roasting the peppers, turn on the kitchen or stove exhaust fan. To roast the peppers on a gas stove top, soak 3 wooden skewers in water until saturated. Skewer 1 pepper and hold over a medium-high flame. Slowly rotate the pepper over the flame until the skin is blackened and blistered. Repeat with the remaining peppers and skewers. After each pepper is roasted place in plastic bag
covered with a dish towel to steam, which will help to remove the skins.
To roast the peppers in the oven, place an oven rack in the highest position and preheat the broiler. Put the peppers on a cookie sheet and place under the broiler. Using long handled metal tongs to rotate the peppers and broil until the skin is blackened and blistered. After each pepper is roasted place in plastic bag covered with a dish towel to steam, which will help to remove the skins.
Wearing gloves, remove skin, the veins, and the seeds from the habaneros. (When removing the skins, it's important to wear double layer of latex gloves or else your hands burn.)
To make the paste, blend the habaneros with the sugar using a food processor.
Combine the habanero paste into the softened vanilla ice cream and refreeze until firm but still spreadable
Assemble cake in springform pan by alternating cake, lime sorbet, cake, habanero ice cream, cake and freeze until firm (8 hours or overnight).
Garnish with powered sugar or whipped cream and sprinkles.
Mildred Said:What other ingredient(s) would compliment the habanero in cookie recipe?
We Answered:Chocolate chips or chunks would go best, hot peppers and chocolate just compliment eachother somehow.
Aaron Said:habanero popper recipe?
We Answered:we use jalapeno peppers but I bet it would work. Just take the pepper, deseed it, fill the halves with cream cheese, put back together and wrap it in a wonton wrapper (in the refrigerator section at grocery store) seal it with a tab bit of water and deep fry until brown.
