Any good smoothie recipes that inculde half and half?

We Answered:

If you're bent on using half and half, here is a recipe that I like; normally I would use milk or yogurt seeing as half and half is so fatty:

1 ripe/very ripe banana
1/2 to 1 full cup frozen berries
1/4 to 3/4 cup milk/yogurt/half and half

Blend all ingredients in blender

Lillian Said:

Can I cut my crock pot recipes in half?

We Answered:

Yes, of course if your scissors are sharp enough. Nyuk!Nyuk! Seriously, for most crockpots if you halve the recipes the cooking time is usually cut by a quarter for example: 1 hour would be 45 minutes, 2 hours = 1 and a half hours etc. This could vary depending on altitude but, the recipes themselves will tell you these differences.

Penny Said:

Any good recipes that require Half & Half I aquired a bunch of it?

We Answered:

I use half and half instead of whipping cream cause its less fat. You could make a chowder- clam, seafood or potato. Or any creamy soup.

YOu could also use for recipies that call for milk. It will just be a little more creamer. Pudding?

Check out allrecipes.com and type in half and half in the ingredients.

Julia Said:

What does it mean when recipes ask for half a cube of butter?

We Answered:

A cube is one ounce (two tablespoons), so your recipe is calling for 1 tablespoon. It gets its name from the shape. Two tablespoons cut from a stick would look like a cube

Troy Said:

Is it possible to half the baking regular recipes?

We Answered:

yes, since everything is still proportionate.

This is very useful if it's just you or only two people.

I always use this method and it works great for baking!

(the baking time will be more like 3/4 instead of 1/2 because of the properties of heat, however)

let us know how it goes!

Any recipes for half-ripe green lemons?

We Answered:

well you can make lemon juice with eat. Or lemon cake and pies and tarts..just use extra sugar..the rind can be used for flan or other recipes that uses it.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons fish sauce
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon chili-garlic sauce, dried red chili flakes, or chopped fresh hot chilies

Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a blender or mini food processor, and blend until you have a fairly smooth sauce. Transfer to a small bowl, stir to be sure the sugar has dissolved, and set aside until serving time. Or combine the ginger, garlic, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a mortar and grind to a grainy paste. Transfer to a medium bowl and add the fish sauce, lime juice, water, and chili-garlic sauce, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce is fairly smooth. Pour the sauce into small serving bowls. Or transfer to a jar, cover tightly, and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Makes about 1/2 cup
The fabulous flavor of this classic sauce lights up simple poached and grilled foods, and is also terrific with a simple platter of grilled or oven-roasted vegetables.
