2 large loaves of Italian bread
Instructions

Heat all ingredients, except the bread, together in saucepan . Drizzle over each cut slice of bread, bake at 400 degrees until bread is crispy.

I couldn't find anything on copodoro but I did find a couple of easy Galliano Liqueur recipes you might like if you can't find any of the other essence:

Galliano Liqueur Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Everclear alcohol
1/2 cup Sugar
2 cups (distilled) Water
1 cup Corn Syrup
6 drops Anise Extract
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
3 drops Yellow Food Coloring

Galliano Liqueur Directions
Boil water, corn syrup and sugar for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and stir. Cover and let stand 1 month.

HOMEMADE GALLIANO LIQUOR

2 c. sugar
1 c. bottled water
6 tsp. pineapple extract
3 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. banana extract
1 tsp. pure anise extract
1 qt. 100 proof vodka
5 drops yellow food coloring

Combine sugar and water in saucepan. Boil gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat and measure 2 cups of syrup. Pour into large container and cool. Add all extracts, vodka and food coloring. Shake or stir well to blend all ingredients. Makes 1 1/2 quarts galliano.

You can substitute Neopolitan liqueur (which is a cheaper American version of Galliano), or Sambucca. Galliano bottles are tall. Your local liquor store should carry any one of these three choices, either Neopolitan or Galliano or Sambucca.

1 lb icing sugar, sifted
5 ounces sliced strawberries, , the other half is used in the cake (, the other half is used in the cake)

12 fresh strawberries, hulls removed (optional)
