Ingredients:
1/2 cup Cheerios cereal
1/2 cup vanilla or strawberry flavored yogurt
1 Tablespoon strawberry jam
2 big fresh strawberries - sliced
1 big fresh strawberry - whole
Prep:
Place the tablespoon of strawberry jam in bottom of a parfait glass. Put 1/4 cup of the Cheerios on top of jam. and cover that with 1/2 of sliced strawberries.
Put 1/4 cup yogurt over strawberries. cover that with remaining Cheerios followed by remaining sliced strawberry and topped with remaining yogurt. Garnish top with the whole strawberry.

Cheerios originally didn't have any sugar at all; I haven't bought them in a while, but the last time I did, they still didn't have sugar in them, at least not the plain ones. I saw some a few days back for the first time in my life that have flavors or colors or both (just noticed, didn't buy) - it seemed totally strange to me! I've been eating them since I was a little kid back in the 50s, not to mention feeding them to my OWN kid when he was little. It's often a baby's first "finger-food." :-)Ida Said:

This is our recipe, a sweet-salty mix:4 Cups Honey-Nut cheerios (Generic is also good)
4 Cups Rice Chex
2 Cups pretzel stix, broken (or whole)
2 cups salted mixed nuts or salted peanuts
Mix all together in a really big bowl, Then:
melt 1 (or more) cup butter, stir in 1/4 cup sugar or karo syurp and mix into the cereal mix.
spread no more than 1" deep in shallow baking pans and bake at low heat 250 or 300 degrees for an hour or so, stir about every 15 minutes.

Peach-Cereal Bars3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 bag (10 oz) large marshmallows
6 cups MultiGrain Cheerios® cereal
1 container (6 oz) Yoplait® Original 99% Fat Free harvest peach yogurt
3/4 cup diced dried peaches
1. Butter 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish. In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter and marshmallows uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring after 1 minute, until smooth. Stir in cereal until coated. Press about 4 cups mixture firmly in pan. Spread yogurt over top.
2. Mix dried peaches and remaining cereal mixture (if cereal mixture has become firm, microwave uncovered on High 30 seconds to soften). Spread over top of yogurt; press firmly with dampened hands. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
3. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 3 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.
